GTHC Predicts, ManU at Home
The last 3 games we have got away with not being that great IMO, I like the fact Moyes was not happy with the Villa game, we got the win but was lucky and for long periods very much on the back foot, don’t think he will let the players forget that, against ManU who have much better quality, we will need to be at our best to get something from the game, reckon we will, 2-1 Ironsssss

Lawro of course is on the fucking fence……….

West Ham are on a great run and are looking for their fourth straight win. I spoke to their manager, and my friend, David Moyes last week who told me Aston Villa were the better team during the 2-1 win and that his side were lucky to come away with three point.

Having said that he has got his team competing well and they're difficult to play against - Moysie might also feel he has a point to prove this weekend against his old employers.

United come into this game on the back of that loss against Paris St-Germain with their Champions League hopes still hanging in the balance, although I don't think that will play on their minds at the London Stadium.

The issue I have is that I don't think manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come to terms with his best team or has established a definitive way of playing.

They're very good in attack at times, but Anthony Martial looks like a world beater one week and a debutant the next. At least Edinson Cavani, as he's shown in recent games, has proved he's still a great finisher. At the moment a lot of members of the United side are playing at six out of 10 level though.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

I think us beating ManU against the odds started in 1911*, when non-League West Ham knocked them out of the FA Cup.

After they tried to convince the authorities that our pitch was too small, and get them to turn our home draw into an away one.

*Can't be arsed to check I've got the year right, but every other fact is correct

The Hillsborough mud 1964, the South Bank in 1975 Pikes bullet header at OT in the FA cup in 1986, Frankie scoring 2 the following season, Kenny Brown in 1992, Ludo 1994 (I think), Barthez playing Linesman again in he cup and Tevez 2007.

Have I missed any?

TBF to Ferguson, in the year he made that comment, wasn't he referring to our lack of effort to stay up compared to the effort we put into beating his mob?

*feels dirty after being fair to Ferguson*

Looked at one of their fan forums........not many are confident of their team today. They also have a hatred of West Ham.... can't think why?

Because we had the temerity to beat them more than a few times in recent history.

Taggart's comments when we beat them bear this out, I forget the phrase he used, something like "obscene"?

1-1 is the obvious choice but I’m going for a 2-1 win to our boys.
Man U are overrated.

The troubling thing is that when it seems that OGS is finally out the door he seems to be able to pull a stellar result from somewhere to extend his stay by a couple of weeks.

If only we had a full crowd in. That always lifts the team especially against the Mancs.

Fair play to Sister Bliss (always liked Faithless) she has it down as 3-1 to the Hammers

I don't think the FA have even got round to charging Cavani yet, and are still slowly doing their investigation. So I think he'll be available against us.

There is a chance Cavani may be suspended and i think Rashford maybe out with a shoulder injury, so not all bad

Re: GTHC Predicts, ManU at Home
I don't see us winning this one, Cavani will be the difference, he'll be clinical and we'll ha e the useless Haller lumbering around. 1-3
